TBB81 is an American power pop band known for their infectious melodies, tight harmonies, and a sound rooted in the golden eras of rock 'n' roll. By the late '80s, the group had shifted focus toward writing and performing original music, officially adopting the name TBB81—a nod to their beginnings and the year it all started.
In 1989, TBB81 entered the studio to begin recording their debut album, channeling their shared love for melodic hooks, jangly guitars, and timeless songwriting. Rami Lopez , known artistically as Ramy, is the drummer, one of the primary songwriters, Digital Marketing Manager, and one of the founding members of TBB81. With a playing style he describes as "a little bit of Ringo, a little bit of Charlie, and dash of Keith," Rami brings a signature groove that fuses classic rock energy with modern edge.Rami wrote his first song, "As The World Goes Round and Round," at age 14 and has been chasing inspiration ever since. In addition to his work with TBB81, he's an accomplished solo artist with several singles, an E.P., and a full-length album to his name. His solo material showcases his depth as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.Influenced by everything from early rock 'n' roll to contemporary indie and mainstream sounds, Rami doesn't believe in musical boundaries. His passion for all styles of music fuels his creativity and helps shape TBB81's unique sound.
Rodney López - Songwriter / Guitarist /

Rodney is the guitarist, one of the main songwriters, and a founding member of TBB81. His musical journey began at age 11 when his brother Rami taught him his first guitar chords—igniting a lifelong passion for music and storytelling. By 15, he was already composing original songs, drawing inspiration from the timeless sounds of the 1950s through the 1980s, a musical era that deeply influenced his formative years.With a love for creative freedom, Rodney approaches songwriting with an experimental edge, blending unexpected chord progressions and lyrical twists that keep listeners engaged. "I love to experiment just to keep things fresh," he says—an ethos that's become a signature element of the TBB81 sound.Over the decades, Rodney has performed with a variety of musical groups, including a stint as bass player for the Latin ensemble Benny Cruz y La Buena Vida in Detroit. He also spent nearly 30 years leading choirs for various organizations, strengthening both his leadership and musical perspective.Today, Rodney channels that wealth of experience into every TBB81 track. He played a major role in shaping the band's single "Fighting to Have You All," bringing his signature melodic sensibility and intricate arrangements to the production.
